Memorial Day Weekend

This weekend will most likely be like any other weekend for me. I will most likely occupy myself with the newly released game "L.A. Noire", a game which will take weeks to complete. If L.A. Noire comes to bore me, I'll resort to playing Minecraft, a game which never ceases to bore me. Though that will only take up a small part of the weekend in the form of a few hours of gaming, the rest of the weekend will be spent sleeping in and being all around lazy.

4th Marking Period

This marking period is a make or break time of year for me. I need to make sure I get as many A's in my classes as possible not only to make sure my GPA is high enough for college standards, but also high enough to be accepted into the National Honor Society. SAT's are another hurdle in which I'm going to have to overcome as well. With them being about two weeks away, staying focused and studying are my main priorities. I have to make sure that I try my hardest during this time where most kids begin to lose speed and relax in terms of how much work/effort they provide in school, because if I don't. The future will only be that much harder than it already was.

Spring Break

The ending of spring break begins the final stretch until the end of the school year. With barely two months left, it is one of the last major breaks that we have before summer vacation. Like most people, I made it a point to make the best of every day of the break, in my own way of course. I played the PC game "Team Fortress 2", developed by Valve, who are known for their puzzle game "Portal" for the first few days of the break. Towards the middle of the week I stumbled upon a video on youtube named "Nyan Cat". As simple as it was, it has been able to reel in hundreds of thousands of views, it being a video of an animated .gif of a poptart bodied cat was what made it truly amazing. As the break winded down I was reminded that the multiplayer beta for "Gears of War 3" had begun and spent the rest of the week playing the beta. Though I did plenty of other things, in my eyes those things were the highlights of my break, as simple as they may be.

Midterms

Midterms weren't extremely difficult for me, but I faced plenty of challenges in my Pre Calculus and Physics exams. We're about half way through the year and some of us are only left to deal with finals before this school year comes to an end.

New Year's Resolutions/Plans

I have nothing planned for the new year, mainly because long term goals never really seem to pan out, especially with a hectic school schedule. I'll most likely make goals as the opportunities come to me. Hopefully everyone had a safe and happy new year, and be sure to stick to any resolutions or goals that you might have made.
